Restaurant Association calls on govt to publish trading regulations

eNCA reports that the Restaurant Association of South Africa is appealing with government to urgently publish trading regulations. The association’s CEO Wendy Alberts says they have been ready to reopen for weeks and the delays are further crippling the industry. “I don’t know why they don’t understand the urgency of how crippled our industry is and how completely decimated the restaurant industry is.

“It is imperative, we have put all the proposed measures in place to advocate through government, Cogta on our responsibility, and our readiness to open. We are absolutely ready to open today,” she said. Alberts says they are ready to get back to business.


NCOP passes Covid-19 tax bills and approves suspension of magistrate who was ‘easy on rapists’
